Happy birthday, Kurusugawa-san. And thank you - your gift was very thoughtful. I'm glad you got me a sun this time. Even if this pendant... no. You'll remember in time.

I hope you liked mine as well.

It's a quiet day as of now, even if September was... less than peaceful. I don't miss my home. Especially not on this day.

Himeko. It is better here.

A ridiculous curse, once again. Harmless enough, I suppose. At least they didn't spell the word out.

The moon festival was an interesting experience. A bit like Tsukimi, not surprisingly. Thank you, Tianzi-san and Xing-ke-san for inviting us.

For many reasons, I should understand why we celebrate the moon. Sometimes, I do think it's a bit overrated.

It wouldn't be beautiful without the light of the sun anyway.

Does anyone know of a cure for bad dreams? Losing sleep over such things is hardly beneficial, after all.

[End filter]

Mm. Gender truly is a thing of plasticity in this place. As a concept it's always been fluid, luckily. If not, it would matter even more to some than it already does and such a thing wouldn't do at all.

[ooc: Chikane does not have any bad dreams to speak of, but she really does need something to make someone else stop dreaming altogether...]

Another election.

I don't find it particularly difficult to decide where to cast my vote this time around. I wish it didn't feel so much like choosing the lesser evil. Good luck to you, all the same.

Kurusugawa-san. What food would you prefer we make for the up-coming dinner? I have a few suggestions I would like to share with you. Also... someone ate my new piano sheets. And it certainly wasn't me. If you ever see her trying to grab our things, please remember to correct her, ne?

Kurusugawa-san. ... this thing sure is lively.

This is for you. If you want it her, that is.

Suou-san, no doubt you were right: they dream it up. Surely, no one consciously comes up with such a poor excuse for creativity.

Sagara-san. Thank you so much for your help regarding shooting practice. I should've said so yesterday, but the curse... The curse is a feeble excuse for bad manners, but the only one I can give.

As for you, sir... You were right to scold me. And that's all.

So. Repetition... and no difference, obviously. Of course, there wouldn't be any.

Kurusugawa-san.

At one point or another it is necessary for all of us to grow up, ne? Don't be so childish; it doesn't suit you at all.

I'll take a walk today - I don't particularly want to stay inside this apartment with you when there's so much to see.

Do try to manage on your own while I'm gone. I cannot make every single decision for you, it vexes me.

[ooc: Sooo. Instead of letting herself get killed by Himeko, the way she did in canon, Chikane made herself hate Himeko with all her might - and killed her off the way she did in their previous lives. As such, she's very bitter and very distanced.]

I can't even begin to imagine how the ideas for these odd curses come about. Kurusugawa-san, you remain un-cursed, I hope? I know I haven't been around all that much these past days. I apologise for asking questions that I should already know the answers to.

Hiyori-san and Amou-san came by Saturday for a cup of tea and some cake. It was very nice of you to visit, both of you. We must do it again sometime. This thing... Inviting friends over, just like that, no formal invitations... I'd almost forgotten what a pleasure it is. Especially now, when Kurusugawa-san isn't...

Sagara-san - I imagine your work is keeping you very busy. I don't want to intrude on your time so please, notify me when you have some spare hours?

Kaioh-san... I trust you weren't too badly injured during the attack last week? Did you perhaps gain access to any instruments yet? If you did, I would love to borrow either a piano or a violin for an hour or so. Playing is easier than speaking at times.

What... no... he's...

SOMEBODY HELP! ANYBODY! PLEASE!

Predictable conclusion? Possibly. A useless thing to point out, regardless.

If we never try to rebel, if we never take action... then how are things ever going to change? Please take care, those of you who were wounded in the attempt on the barrier.

It was necessary.

To you - thank you. I wish I knew who you are. If I hadn't come home, Kurusugawa-san might have come looking for me and-

My head still hurts and I'm awfully tired. Kurusugawa-san. I am going back to bed in a minute or two. I... I apologise for worrying you. Thank you for taking care of me.

[ooc: So, Chikane got a concussion from attacking the barrier - and that's it. Lucky her. She didn't really get a good look at her mysterious saviour, but she's incredibly grateful for the help. <3]

Hiyori-san, thank you for the walk. It was... different from what I'm used to. It was a pleasure, even if the snow melted too fast for me to learn how to play in it. Would you be interested in doing it again some day?

The sudden change in the weather was nice. Amusement aside, however...

I, too, stand by this. Control is necessary. Blindly accepting whatever shape it takes is not.

What beautiful weather we are having all of a sudden. Beautiful but cold - the right kind of weather, I believe, for sitting indoors and drinking hot chocolate. Thank you, Kurusugawa-san.

I've never really cared for this drink, but...

I do hope your date goes well. If the dress is too thin, I'll take the blame for your troubles; regardless, it looks pretty on you fits you. If you like it, please keep it, ne?

Otoha-san knew how to play in the snow; not that we ever did, but she talked about it sometimes when we were younger. A commoner's practice, Father would say. I always thought it sounded... interesting.

Like fun, I suppose.

This... This is certainly vexing.

Turning citizens into rats? How ridiculous. I do hope you're all alright now that the curse has passed.

I spent my morning training. It's been far too long, I fear. I'll need some time getting used to the new bow. Horrid excuse for incompetence, really.

...

Sir, thank you for bringing us to the clinic yesterday. Was it yesterday? It all blends a bit together, I'm afraid.

I... there's a cure for this. Certainly. Please... I wish I could help you all look for it. To do something. For...

That wasn't even her. Not now, not in this place. Not like that. I'm sorry, I'm too tired...

[ooc: Sooo, not as bad off as Himeko but not much better than yesterday either. She probably shouldn't even be talking; bad Chikane. I'm assuming that she got something for the hallucinations and the coughing, even if the cure is still pending? [info]miss_jones - <3! Edit: Off to bed she goes - and her mun as well. Oh.

I see that I'm not the only one feeling a bit sick today. I do hope that the rest of you will soon be well again.

How inconvenient, though. I have no need for a sore throat now, of all times.

Oh, and Kurusugawa-san? Please stay indoors the entire day. The entire week, preferably. I don't mean to offend you, but if you run around with people all the time, how can I be sure that they aren't hurting you?

This place is too dangerous.

[ooc: Cursed like whoa. That protective streak she has in the anime? Yeah... Himeko-mun, if you want to get out, you'd better be sneaky. :P]
